While an accomplished leader, Billy has always been an equally accomplished philanthropist. In 1986, Billy created the charitable organization that today is known as ASBA nationally. Billy began raising millions of dollars for worthy causes with a focus on rare children’s diseases through various events, the biggest being the annual Hill Country Classic golf tournament held in Austin, Texas. Billy’s passion for serving lesser-known causes needing greater awareness leads to positive impacts and great strides towards hope and disease management, with the ultimate goal of a cure. Under Billy’s leadership, ASBA enriches the lives of the members served, and its charity partners.
